FinalFinish kit in .284 / 7mm caliber

Among the factors that affect accuracy and fouling in a barrel, these are very influential:

1. Reamer marks in the throat area that result from chambering the barrel
2. Dimensional uniformity
3. Tool marks / surface finish

FinalFinish and FinalFinish TMS will correct/improve all three of the above factors. A typical factory barrel will be improved in all three areas, and even hand-lapped barrels need the chamber reamer marks in the throat corrected to perform to their potential. FinalFinish and FinalFinish TMS will remove the most damaging (to the bullet) tool marks, generating a surface finish that goes WITH the bullet instead of against it, and work out "tight spots" that disrupt the bullet. It is okay to use FinalFinish in chrome-lined AR15 barrels.

[After completing the FinalFinish process, we strongly recommend purchasing a TMS bullet kit or TMS loaded ammo for a preventive maintenance routine. One or two rounds of TMS used every few hundred shots keeps the throat smoothed, which will prolong the accurate life of your barrel. Think of it like changing the oil in your car on a regular basis.]

Detailed instructions are included with each kit.

"FinalFinish has been one of those products that's a sleeping giant: after word started getting around from people who used it, demand increased tremendously, and that continues. It seems that for every kit we ship we get three or four more new orders from the same zip code..."

I bought two .30 kits, two .257 kits and a 6.5. I've lapped all the barrels but the weather isn't good enough to go out and shoot groups to see if they improved anything. I will say this though: I mistakenly ordered two throat maintenance kits instead of the lapping kits I wanted. I contacted them about returning them for exchange and had my new kits before they even received my returns. Cant beat a company that works like that!

I used the Final Finish in both my 1895 Chilean 7 mm Mausers. I was looking to restore the maximum efficiency of the old barrels. Even though the bullet weight of the FF system is heavier than recommended for a 7 mm Mauser, during the fire lapping I was able to virtually group 3 rounds touching one another at 100 yds. Cleaning the barrel seems easier as a plus. I feel good that I have done all I am able to do to get the barrels in the best condition possible.
