Tubb™ CS Springs
"Your rifle runs on springs. How well it runs has a whole lot to do with the quality of those springs. Our chrome silicon springs ensure top operational performance."
Tubb Precision Chrome Silicon springs are made from the highest quality Chrome Silicon alloy. These are the only firearms springs constructed from this superior material and held to rigid 9002 Quality Control Standards. Along with the use of certified materials, this combination yields the highest quality, most consistent, and best performing spring available.
Our springs use the same Chrome Silicon alloy used in the manufacture of valve springs for Indy car engines. Those springs can easily endure approximately a half million compression cycles at high temperature in one afternoon a much harsher environment than experienced in a firearm.
All Superior Shooting Systems Inc. Tubb Precision CS springs are heat treated, stress relieved, and shot peened after winding to enhance grain structure, remove stresses, and maximize durability and stability. This guarantees extremely close tolerances in meeting our specification criteria. A standard spring cannot successfully be treated to these processes. To the shooter it means consistency and correctness in function -- quicker lock time, fewer vibrations, and a more reliable and accurate rifle.
Tubb Precision SpeedLock CS Springs are available for most popular bolt action centerfire rifles and Tubb Precision CS Springs are available for AR-15 / AR-10 / SR-25-type firearms & magazines, and T2K / Spec-Tac-LR Rifles and magazines. All are direct replacement items.
Springs are perhaps the most overlooked component in the performance of any rifle, pistol, or shotgun. If the spring does not perform adequately, then the firearm will not perform to its full capabilities regardless of the firearm's price, quality, or workmanship.
