High Performance Tubb Precision Chrome Silicon Flatwire Buffer Spring for AR-15 Rifles & Carbines. This Tubb Precision CS AR-15 Flatwire Buffer Spring fits both carbine and standard length stocks.

Why should you use Tubb Precision Chrome Silicon Flatwire Buffer Springs? Extended life at optimum performance! Many conventional buffer springs are constructed from music wire or non post winding processed stainless steel. Their performance becomes suspect in as little as 500 rounds and can cause rifle performance to degrade to the point that rifle function will change. We fielded many questions from people complaining about "mystery malfunctions" when their rifles get past that round count , and we've found installation of a Tubb Precision CS Flatwire Buffer Spring cures nearly all of them, and it cures them for good.

This is the last Buffer Spring you'll ever need for your AR-15! Tubb Precision CS springs are duty rated for 500,000 compression cycles at maximum performance.

Enhanced rifle performance - Due to the superior nature of its material, Tubb Precision CS Flatwire Buffer Springs have the same power as conventionally constructed "extra power" springs, yet provide that extra energy using a lighter spring weight. Correct timing and resistance on the recoil stroke and a controlled rebound ensures reliable feeding with consistent forward thrust. The result is that the rifle functions flawlessly and stays on target better.

With the Tubb Precision CS Flatwire Buffer Spring, the bolt will remain locked a little longer, allowing pressures more time to subside. This means getting those heavy bullets to needed velocities can be more readily accomplished.

Tubb Precision CS Springs cure spring induced malfunctions for the life of the rifle.

Unaffected by temperature - Music wire and carbon steel springs are adversely affected by temperatures as low as only 175° F. Tubb CS Springs perform flawlessly in excess of 700° F. Performance and function will not change during rapid fire conditions.

Perfect consistency - Tubb Precision CS Flatwire Buffer Springs are made to Stringent 9002 Quality Control Standards. Certified materials use, and our exclusive post-winding processing guarantees true, consistent performance. Conventional AR15 buffer springs are notorious for exhibiting wide variances in installed load height, compression and rebound performance, and even length.

Unless you're using Tubb Precision CS springs in your rifle, not only are you frequently replacing springs, but rifle performance may be continually changing with each replacement.

Installed in a Carbine-length buffer tube. Rifle has yet to malfunction in any way through 250 rounds with various ammo flavors. Noticeable improvement in smoothness of BCG travel when using charging handle compared to mil-spec buffer spring. Upper is a new Stag 3G with an effective factory compensator so am unable to compare before and after recoil and muzzle movement upon firing.

These buffer springs are summed up in one word FANTASTIC. Reduced recoil is definitely felt. Smoother and better weapon control. Thumbs up JC

This buffer spring can't be compared to any of the other recoil springs available on the Market. Other supposed"extra power springs" still do not compare to the spring power and ability of the flat wire to not set and get shorter over time

Great product sounds much smoother and works great. Ran about 150rounds though it the other day and really liked the way it preformed also the sound or the recoil sounds sightly quieter:)

I have an Ar-15 target rifle which I purchased this spring for. The spring did not work well at all, shooting light reloads (2800).My rifle would short stroke and fail to load every 3 rnds, put mil-spec buffer spring back, and rifle worked fine. Spring would probably work better with a heavier load, will try on my other Ar -15 with a lighter bolt, nice looking spring ,but did not work for me.

Before changing the spring my AR-15 rose up and to the left when fired. After adding the spring the recoil changed to almost straight back. My grouping changed when I added the spring to hitting 7" low and 8" to the right groups at 200'. Once I re-zeroed the AR the groups are now within 3" target, consistently That’s the best groups I have ever gotten from this off the shelf AR. I can stay on target now round after round.

I shoot my AR15 almost every weekend. Due to the wear and tear on my old buffer spring I was starting to notice some odd shots with various malfunctions. I took it to my local gunsmith and he suggested that I replace a couple of parts to include the buffer spring. Reason, he could not exactly pin point the problem. I replaced everything he suggested with no improvement. When I replace the buffer spring with the Tubb buffer spring, all the malfunctions ceased. The accuracy returned, better than ever. No more twang from the spring. My AR has less recoil so that I can stay on target. I have two other AR15’s. I have recommended this spring to other friends. Those that have replaced their springs feel that this was one of the best investments they have made for their AR15’s.

Works exactly as advertised and as stated in Glen Zediker's books.

I can give the CS buffer spring a rating of four out of five at present only because I have not had the opportunity to really confirm its performance over a large number of shots. I shoot HP with a AR service rifle and started having case head separations and failures to chamber using a stock operating spring. Since installing the CS spring, I have fired several practice strings of rapid sitting and prone, as well as offhand and prone slow fire. The case head separations ceased and the failures to chamber have disppeared. I beleive the case head separations were casued by the old spring losing its ability as the brass was reloaded only 2x (LC 09). The once reliable feeding using Colt 20 round mags became a handicap at the same time. The CS spring seems to have returned my rifle to 100% reliablity based n teh small number of shots fired (about 120 rounds). Next HP across the course match is this weekend, so I will put it to the test then I do plan on buying the CWS to take full advantage of the system as a whole

Im rather new to AR15`s, I bought a DPMS Panther Arms AR15 in June of 2011. Its a nice rifle but it needed a few improvements. When shooting you could feel the recoil buffer slam back hard and it caused excessive recoil. After searching for a solution to this problem i came across DAVID TUBB AR15 parts, so i decided to buy on of his heavy duty recoil springs, and what a diference it made in reducing the recoil of on my AR15. I would recommend this part to every one that has an AR15, its well worth the money.
